Q. When a company need to appoint the auditor?
A. Every Company shall, at the first annual general meeting, appoint an individual Chartered Accountant or a firm of Chartered Accountants as an auditor for the period of Five years and thereafter for a period of every five years.
Q. Who shall decide the remuneration of the auditor?
A. The Company decides the remuneration in its general meeting and in the case of first Auditor, Board of Directors decides the remuneration.
Q. Who can be appointed as an auditor of the company?
A. The Company can appoint an individual Chartered Accountant or a firm of Chartered Accountants as its auditor.
Q. What if the individual auditor dies or give resignation?
A. In case of casual vacancy of auditor due to death of auditor, the same is required to be filled by the board within 30 days, but if casual vacancy is a result of resignation of auditor then shareholders shall within three months from recommendation of Board, fill it.
